Breathing Exercise and Counting Task

For 22 consecutive evenings you will be asked to do either a breathing exercise or a counting task according to your individually sent schedule.

 

Please do it when lying – preferably on your back – in bed before falling asleep.  

Breathing Exercise:

1., Lying – preferably on your back – in the bed before falling asleep. Breathe in slowly through your nose while counting to five, hold the breath for a count of three, then breath out through your mouth for a count of five. 

Repeat it 30 times!

2., Hyperventilate 20 times through your mouth, then take a deep breath slowly while counting to 3, keep the air in while counting to 3 and breathe out slowly while counting to 3.

Repeat this cycle - 20 hyperventilation and 1 deep breath - 10 times!

3.,Finally, breathe in and out slowly for 30 times in a comfortable manner. Focus on the numbers, the counting, and your breath.

 

4., Have a good, dreamy night! :-) 

Counting Task: 

​

You are lying – preferably on your back – in the bed before falling asleep, and count to 250 silently/in your head.
