Breathing Into Dreaming
Psychology Bachelor Thesis Experiment

As an academic research for my Psychology BSc Thesis at the Sigmund Freud University, Vienna (Austria, 1020 Vienna, Freudplatz 1) I am investigating whether a certain kind of breathing exercise has a dream-inducing effect.
The experiment lasts for 22 consecutive days (see Experiment Schedules page). It requires a daily commitment of approximately 12 min in the evening when already lying in bed before falling into sleep, where on each day you will be performing a breathing exercise or a counting task for 12 minutes, and 5-8 minutes in the morning to fill in a quick report-like questionnaire (with the same questions every morning) regarding the previous day and night.
There is no obligation for the participants who can leave the experiment at any time. Equally there are no right and wrong answers to the questions in the questionnaires, and participants also have the right to ask questions or make comments during the experiment.
Should participants have interest in the findings of this research, they are encouraged to contact me at any time. Should you or anyone you know, like to participate I would be very appreciative and would encourage as many people as possible to join.
Data provided by the participants will be used to investigate the relationship between the effects of a particular breathing exercise (see Evening Exercises page ) and dream experience.
I would appreciate and would be honored if many people would be interested in participating.
If you have any questions or comments regarding the experiment, please do not hesitate to contact me at 61808811@mail.sfu.ac.at or szekoaniko@gmail.com
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
Kind regards,
Ms. Aniko Szeko, BA MSc
